Doping Violations
 
6 Russian Weightlifters banned for doping violations. Evgeni Kolomiets and Yuri Selyutin were banned for 10 years for repeated violations. Mikhail Reznitchenko, Tejmur Alekserov and Dmitry Srbnyi were suspended for 2 years each, while Oleg Musokhranov was banned for three months. This takes place on the heels of accusations from international anti-doping officials that the Russians were not being forceful enough with doping violators.
